Care & Disposal
When should I change my brush?

Bamboo is a naturally sustainable and durable resource. Most dentists and orthodontists recommend changing your toothbrush every 3 months. Although in circumstances such as illness or frayed bristles changing to a new brush is advisable.

Storage
Your bamboo toothbrush should be stored in a dry place. You can stand it up individually as a decorative eco-piece by the sink side. After use, rinse by rubbing your thumb over as you would a plastic toothbrush.

Your bamboo handle
Bamboo is a natural material that will change appearance over time. Our bamboo toothbrush is designed to let water drain off easily.
The handle is 100% biodegradable, after use, please reuse or dispose of in the compost or green bin.

The bristles

The soft bristles are designed to help you navigate/access those ticky areas of the mouth. They are made from Nylon 6 which does not contain BPA (Bisphenol A) toxins. This type of nylon cannot currently be recycled but accounts for only 0.1 ounces of plastic waste compared to using a regular plastic toothbrush. After use, pull the bristles with a plier. You will notice a small metal staple used to hold the bristles in place, this is normal as part of the manufacturing process. Due to the size of the bristles they are not ideal for the usual recycling bin please contact your local council for the best way to recycle.

Packaging

Our packaging is made of 100% biodegradable paper. You can pop it in the recycling or green waste bin. But it is better to keep it and reuse when sending out a package to a friend.

Reuse > Recycle
We believe in reusing products and packaging where possible and recycling only as a last resort is better for the environment.
